Altar Flowers Ministry

Sharing Beauty, Faith, and Creativity at Our Lady of the Assumption
The Altar Flower Ministry, supported by the Ladies Guild, brings natural beauty to our church by providing fresh floral arrangements for the center altar and the two side altars each week. This quiet but meaningful ministry helps create a prayerful, uplifting environment for all who come to worship.
How the Ministry Works
Our volunteers serve one month per year, working in teams of two. Each team is responsible for cutting or purchasing flowers and arranging them for the weekend Masses. No experience is needed—just a willing heart and a love for making our church beautiful.
Before your assigned month, you’ll attend a one‑hour training session that covers everything you need to know. You’ll be paired with another volunteer, making it a simple and enjoyable way to serve.
A Gift from Our Parish Gardens
Many parishioners generously offer flowers from their own yards, and it is a joy to see their blossoms grace our altars. This ministry is a wonderful blend of community, creativity, and faith.
We Need Your Help
We will be losing several volunteers next year, and we warmly invite new members to join us. Teens and adults are welcome—this is a beautiful ministry for families, friends, or anyone who enjoys working with flowers.
Come help us continue this tradition of beauty and devotion. Your hands can make a difference. To learn more contact Linda Reilly mrslindareilly@gmail.com
